Become a Buddy
To help our kids, Upstate Challenger Sports provides a “buddy” system in which volunteers, ages 12 & up can assist players when needed. In most instances, this program can be used toward community service projects in your school. Among the many benefits of our buddy program is the social interaction between the Challenger players and the non-disabled buddies. Our buddies gain valuable insight regarding people with disabilities and realize that they are not very different from themselves. Not only is participating rewarding for our buddies, but also it is equally rewarding for our players. Many terrific friendships have been formed through Upstate Challenger Sports. Our players think the world of our buddies! Come out and see what a difference a couple of hours can make.

Become a Volunteer

Become a Donor
Recreational activities that are fun and non-competitive are not easy to find especially for individuals with mental, physical or developmental disabilities.
